Earll Place Historic Homes Architectural Styles and Square Footage

This district contains mostly English Tudors, Cottage Style, Spanish Colonial Revivals, Pueblos and Bungalow homes from the 1920s and 30s. 

Some of these homes have their original square footage of around 1000 square feet. Others appear compact from the street but have been expanded with a master bedroom and bath adding almost double the square footage.

All homes sit on deep lots, many with garages and guest houses and still have good backyard space.

Historic Designation

Earll’s Advertising

His advertising strategy promoted the charming cottage exteriors, custom wood interior detailing and included modern conveniences such as electric switches and kitchen appliance. E. A. Earll offered bare lots for sale and also built several houses on speculation. The first house offered for sale was an English Tudor-style residence Earll built at 1626 E. Pinchot.
