Windsor Square Historic District is roughly bounded by Central Avenue and 7th Street, Camelback north to Oregon Avenue
Windsor Square Historic District homes lay in the neighborhood’s curving, oval streets making this a very unique neighborhood. Therefore, they don’t have a typical grid style layout like most Phoenix neighborhoods do. Instead, there’s a beautiful oval street layout making this central, urban Phoenix neighborhood on of the most unique.
A Pricey Neighborhood
Windsor Square historic district homes are not cheap, that’s for sure. But, that’s because the square footage and lot sizes are big. Additionally, the historic architecture is unlike you’ll get in most other historic districts due to the neighborhood’s age.
A First Phoenix Suburb
It’s one of the first suburbs created in Phoenix and houses 260-homes. The homes in Windsor Square date from the late 1920s and are as new as the 1950s. As a result, the district contains several excellent examples of Period Revival style architecture and has unique and often rare architectural value because of the number of homes built after 1939 and through World War II.
